Fall 2026 seminars begin the week of August 31st unless otherwise noted. They will run weekly (excluding days when university classes are cancelled e.g. the week of Thanksgiving Break, Oct 12-13 for Fall Break, etc.) through the week of 11\/30.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Fall 2026 Seminar Options<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Get Connected:<\/b> Are you interested in getting more connected on campus? Looking to join some student clubs or activities? Come to the Get connected seminar! This will be a seminar where we can look through open clubs and go through the steps on getting involved or signed up together! Facilitated by Jon Rohald. Mondays from 10:00-10:50am in Huntington Hall Room 070B<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Personal Training: <\/b>Develop your skills and knowledge of SU\u2019s weight training and cardio equipment alongside Personal Trainers at the Barnes Center. Facilitated by Barnes Center fitness staff. Tuesdays, 9:30-10:30am in the Barnes Center. This seminar is capped at 6 students. Students who have not yet had a chance to take it and commuter students will have priority. Otherwise, it will be on a first come first serve basis. If you are selected for this seminar, you will receive an email saying so and with the details. Email Jon Rohald (<\/span>jarohald@syr.edu<\/span><\/a>) if you have any questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Financial Literacy:<\/b> In this seminar, students will meet with a member of Broadview Federal Credit Union\u2019s Financial Well-Being Team to learn about money management and will create goals for the financial future. We want students to learn the basics of money management, and have fun doing it! Students will participate in multiple interactive exercises to learn about the importance of budgeting, saving, spending, what to do with their paychecks, and more. Facilitated by Broadview FCU. Tuesdays, 10:00-10:50am in Huntington Hall Room 070B.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Positive Choices:<\/b> This seminar helps inform and give students confidence with their choices. Over the course of the semester, you will talk about healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, and sexual health. All of these topics will help you with your own personal goals as well as making positive choices! Facilitated by CAPP team of ACR Health. Tuesdays 2:00-3:00pm in Huntington Hall Room 107.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Current Events: <\/b>Are you interested in what\u2019s going on in the world? Do you want to be up to date on what\u2019s happening in the news? Then come to the Current Events seminar! In this seminar we will talk about events as they happen in the real world. We can talk about events going on globally (all over the world), nationally (what\u2019s happening in the United States), and locally (like new events going on in Syracuse, or other things happening in our community). All political views are welcome! We welcome open debate on issues- the main rule we have is that we have to respect each other\u2019s opinions, even if we disagree with them. Facilitated by Jon Rohald, Wednesdays, 2:00-2:50pm in Huntington Hall Room 107.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Greek Life:<\/b> Interested in getting involved in Greek Life on campus? (Fraternities and Sororities). Come learn more about them! We\u2019ll talk through the different types of Greek Life organizations (social, professional, service based, cultural, etc.) and walk through the process of how to join. Facilitated by Jon Rohald<\/em><\/span>, Luke Hoffman, and Alexa Lombardi. Wednesdays, 4:00-4:50pm (Room TBD)<\/em><\/p>\n

Preparing to Travel:<\/b> Interested in traveling with InclusiveU? In this seminar we\u2019ll explore things like Study Abroad opportunities, as well as other shorter trips like going to Albany for Student Empowerment Day, preparing to travel for national conferences like State of the Art and the Student Leadership Conference. We\u2019ll talk about how to join these opportunities, and travel tips like what to pack, when to arrive, etc. Facilitated by Nick Pallotta. Thursdays 2:00-2:50pm in Huntington Hall Room 107\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

ASL:<\/b> Our ASL Seminar offers students an introduction to American Sign Language. Learn foundational vocabulary, essential conversational signs, and develop an understanding of Deaf culture. No prior experience is necessary \u2013 just bring enthusiasm and an open mind to explore a new language that connects people in meaningful new ways! Facilitated by Mike Mazzaroppi. Fridays 12:00pm-12:50pm in Huntington Hall Room 107.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Talk Sports: <\/b>Do you like sports of all kinds? Football, basketball, soccer, baseball, hockey, curling, tennis, all of the sports! Join me at this sports seminar to talk about the week\u2019s happenings in the sports world. We\u2019ll watch highlights from the week, talk about any news and make predictions for the upcoming week! Facilitated by InclusiveU Staff. Fridays, 1:00-1:50pm in Huntington Hall Room 103.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

(For residential students only) Life Hacks: <\/b>Living on campus can be fun, but it comes with responsibilities. For some of us, this is our first time with roommates, chores, and schedules. Together let\u2019s explore these opportunities and challenges to learn for one another. Maybe you can help your friends learn something you already know. Facilitated RMs Siena Balducci and Anna Loughran. Mondays 7:00-7:50pm in the DellPlain Hall Lounge., or Wednesdays 4:00-4:50pm in DellPlain Hall Lounge.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
