IPSE 101 for New Program Staff
This session will provide new program staff with an introduction to the field of inclusive postsecondary education (IPSE) with key terms, practices, and resources. A brief history of the field as well as different models and program options will be discussed. Participants will also learn about the key components of IPSE programs, how different programs address the components, and ideas for building or strengthening a new program. The session will conclude with a review of the SEPSEA conference agenda to help attendees plan which sessions to attend.

IPSE 101 for Families
Introduction to college programs for students with intellectual disability for families and students who are planning to attend college. The session will include how to search for a program with the right fit, how to apply for financial aid and other funding, and how to prepare in K-12. The session will conclude with advice on how to get the most out of the college fair and a review of the SOTA agenda to help attendees plan which sessions to attend.

Join four nationally recognized experts for an Advanced Topics Pre-Conference session focused on building long-term sustainability for Inclusive Postsecondary Education (IPSE) programs. Through the lenses of business strategy, community agency and campus partnerships, philanthropy, and outcomes-focused evaluation, participants will gain practical insights and actionable approaches to strengthen program growth, impact, and financial viability.

Level Up With Esports! Technology & Self-Determination
Based on the Level Up Mānoa! summer inclusive gaming program, this interactive workshop is designed primarily for college students. Participants will explore how competitive gaming can be transformed from a common distraction into a passion that builds discipline and creates opportunities for positive learning, growth, and connection. The workshop includes an accessible introduction to self-determination, includingknowing yourself, managing your emotions and actions, believing in what you can do, and speaking up for yourself.Hands-on activities and demonstrations will introduce gaming technology, what’s inside a computer and how it works, and practical ways to use AI and other digital tools. Participants will also explore online safety, digital identity, navigating online toxicity, and using technology for organization, problem-solving, and strategy. IPSE staff and other conference participants are also welcome. No gaming experience is needed.
