InclusiveU brings students of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities who want to experience college life in a fully inclusive setting to Syracuse University.
Students apply to InclusiveU directly through our online application. Applications are due by January 15th of the year you are applying for. All prospective students are given the opportunity for an admissions interview with InclusiveU staff. We follow the Syracuse University schedule for admissions and orientation.
Students participate in campus life, internships, social activities receive a non-credit certificate in their chosen area of study through the College of Professional Studies at Syracuse University. There are several options to fund InclusiveU.
The transition program includes:
OnCampus:
If you live in the Syracuse City School District and are between the ages of 18-21, you can be a part of the OnCampus program, where students enter Syracuse University through the school district. SCSD provides administrative fees, teaching assistants, accommodations and any disability-related equipment, transportation to and from campus, and a teacher who ensures students are getting what they need from the program. There are no costs to the student for this program.
Area Districts:
We are currently working with other districts around Syracuse to bring the InclusiveU opportunity to their students. Please contact us if you would like to suggest a collaboration with your district.
